Time and again, Maine’s university students prove their penchant for community participation and selfless acts, even in the midst of a global pandemic. Over 250 nursing students from the University of Maine System have volunteered in recent weeks to assist in the distribution and administration of COVID-19 vaccinations to healthcare workers and those over the age of 70. The nursing programs at these universities have also revealed plans for continued involvement of their students in the months to come.
